1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Chunklen, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Chunklen for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms for that organization.
2. The service
Chunklen provides English sentence-understanding practice, progress storage, learning reports, and related features. It is an educational practice tool, not a school, accredited course, examination provider, medical service, or guarantee of a particular learning result.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain or improve the service. We will use reasonable care to avoid unnecessary disruption.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these terms. Where local law requires a higher age of digital consent, a parent or legal guardian must authorize use. You must provide accurate account information, keep your password confidential, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity under your account. One person may not impersonate another person or use an account without permission.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- break the law or infringe another person’s rights through Chunklen;
- interfere with security, authentication, availability, or normal operation;
- probe, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, or access non-public parts without permission;
- introduce malware, automate abusive traffic, or evade technical limits;
- copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or its learning content; or
- use Chunklen to build a competing dataset or service without written permission.
5. Ownership and license
Chunklen, its design, software, lessons, text, graphics, trademarks, and other content are owned by Chunklen or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Chunklen for non-commercial learning.
6. Optional studies and feedback
Participation in a product study requires separate consent and is always optional. Study information shown at enrollment controls if it conflicts with this general description. If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without payment or restriction, but we do not acquire ownership of your personal data.
7. Third-party platforms
Your use of the iOS or Android app may also be subject to the applicable app store’s terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing Chunklen support. If these terms conflict with mandatory app-store terms, the mandatory app-store terms control to the extent of the conflict.
8. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using Chunklen at any time and may delete your account as described on the Account Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, create risk or harm, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Chunklen is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content, or a specific learning outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Chunklen is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunity arising from use of the service.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
